What are the theories behind the Em-Power System

The body and mind is an amazingly complex mechanism and we have gathered knowledge from many philosophies and cultures in order to develop the bio-programs that go into the Em-Power Disc. Here is just a very generalised and simplistic overview of the way the mind and body works together:

THE PHYSICAL BODY: The 'housing' or instrument that allows us to experience our world through the six senses: sight, hearing, touch, taste, smell and ESP. This sensory information is passed simultaneously through to the conscious and subconscious mind.

As well as being a vehicle for our minds the physical body has its own level of consciousness like any other animal. We often take our physical body consciousness for granted forcing it to adhere to our will. Most of the time this is a good thing as we would all act like animals if we gave it total control. However listening to our physical body is very important thing from a health perspective.

There is often a conflict between the mind and body and most people have experienced the symptoms associated with this conflict. Physical ailments; low immune system, weight issues, low energy levels etc. these could all be symptoms of a conflict. Like all animals most of the time all the body needs is love and food. Give your body the correct balance of these two things and most people would find that their health and even emotional state dramatically improved.

THE SIX SENSES: Again most animals have senses some have more than six. Mother Nature has empowered all animals with the senses they need to survive within different environmental conditions. Most of us would rather loose an arm or leg than their eyesight for example. We rightly value our senses as gifts and although we don’t appreciate them as much as we should we are able to imagine how devastating it would be to loose one of them. But what are senses? How do they work and how do they affect our every day lives.

Senses are diagnostic tools and each tool gives our brain information and the more information we receive the more aware we are of our environment and any potential dangers. There is a direct link between our ability to remember and the sensitivity of our senses.  The higher our sensory acuity the better we can recall information. So to use the mind at more superior level we need to optimise and improve our physical senses and our ability to comprehend the sensory information we receive.

The Em-Power System can improve your sensory acuity and make the information you receive clearer thus enhancing your memory recall and retention.

THE CONSCIOUS MIND:  Most people are aware of their Conscious Mind; it’s the part of your consciousness that tries to make sense of the world.  The conscious mind develops throughout our life especially during the early years and is a filtering system for the information we receive from our 6 senses and subconscious mind. The Conscious mind has many different mind filters that organise information and our awareness of it! The important thing to remember is that the conscious mind generalises the information we receive and just give us an awareness of the information we need.

The main conscious mind filters are:

Sensory Filters See, hear, touch, taste, smell and ESP
Language Filters Interpretation of words
Strategy Filter What to do with the information and how to store it
Beliefs & Values Accept or not accept according to beliefs
Memory Filters The way your mind records information
Time & Space Filter Storing Information on a linear time frame

·     When we feel that information is coming at us too quickly most people use another great mental tool ‘internal dialogue’ when you talk to yourself inside your head. By doing doing this we can slow down our mental thought process. Sometimes even this is not enough so to slow down our thought process and many people find talking to themselves out-loud, helps. The louder we talk the more control we think we have over our thought process. Some people can take this need to slow down thoughts to a totally new level by talking out-loud and with their hands. The more parts of your body you uses the easier it is to slow down your brain. Sometimes very clever people use all these skill to slow down a highly intelligent brain that has not learnt how to cope with processing such vast amounts of sensory information and other thought processes on a simultaneous level. These people go into sensory overload and can appear to be in another world and the outside world could view them as autistic or cursed with some kind of behavioural or learning difficulty.

The Subconscious Mind:  It’s a kind of mental hard drive where every single experience you have had throughout your entire life, real or imagined is stored. The subconscious mind’s storage capacity is virtually limitless provided that the information is stored in the right way.  A memory is not just information it’s an entire experience stored as a program with a trigger and a short cut that allows you to access it. If some one asks you to think of a red apple your eyes often spontaneously move as if they are searching an imaginary screen is side your head. In fact it’s as if we can see into our minds with our eyes. The expression ‘the eyes are the windows to the soul’ may not be too far from the mark.  Perhaps ‘a window’ is a more accurate analogy, something that you can see through on both sides and where you could be both the observer and the observed depending on which side you look.  Now just imagine if you could look through a window (not a mirror) at yourself looking at yourself with your awareness in both places simultaneously. It’s a mind bending concept for the conscious mind to cope with; just thinking about this can make you feel like you are being split into two!

If you practice for a while you may find this shift in awareness difficult to cope with and end up with two different aspects or parts of yourself one on either side of the window. Depending on how you feel (your emotional state) you maybe on either side of the window.  If you have a sense of being inside a house or outside in a garden you may choose to be outside on a beautiful summers day however if it’s raining and miserable outside you may choose to be inside.  As this is just an imaginary world you can decide on the weather or any other element. There could be two worlds totally different with different rules and even existing in different time zones, anything is possible if we use our imagination. Depending on what I say now you will find yourself making decisions in an imaginary world using hypothetical concepts and this entire imaginary experience will be stored in your subconscious. Later if I where to say: ‘do you remember when I asked you to think about being on either side of the window’?  It would immediately trigger a memory of the experience even though the entire exercise took place in your imagination. The interesting thing about the Subconscious mind is that it cannot tell the difference between a real or imagined experience it’s only your conscious mind that’s capable deciding whether something is real or not. The ability of your conscious mind to decide on the authenticity of a specific experience is entirely dependant on you conscious filters.

The complex nature of awareness is fascinating and the ability of the human mind to cope with multiple states and locations (MSL) within an imaginary world is truly amazing.

Have you ever been really angry? Can you remember a particular situation where you were absolutely furious? Do you remember how you reacted to the people around you at that time? Most people find that when they experience a powerful negative or even positive emotion they slip into an alternate personally with a completely different view of the world and they respond to people in ways that they may be embarrassed about later.

Strong emotional states affect the mental processes in the brain and even a persons intelligence levels.  Angry people seem to regress down the evolutionary scale and appear to become less intelligent the angrier they get. On the other end of the scale we can experience a state of clarity where everything we do feels so easy and ideas seem to flow in abundance.   So there is a direct relationship between powerful emotions and a person ability to access their full intelligence potential. It’s as if each person has individual personas or intelligences within them and depending on the circumstances our consciousness can shift and we find ourselves behaving in a totally different way.

As well as a behavioural change there is often an accompanying energy shift that takes place within a person. Some people become physically stronger when they get angry others weaker and this change in energy takes place on multiple levels and can have other unexpected side effects. Emotion is the most powerful tool a human being possesses and a person that has total control over their emotions can achieve anything if they use that control wisely.

Have you ever wanted to do something but felt that a part of you was holding you back? Usually this is caused by a persona within your subconscious that has become detached from the hole. Imagine a child on a school trip that gets lost from a group of his classmates. As he searches for his friends, he become more and unsure of himself and an overwhelming sense of loneliness takes hold, this triggers a lack of self confidence and the feeing continues until he manage to find the group.

It’s this sense of uncertainty that makes us feel uncomfortable with a particular idea or decision. By asking the Higher Self to reintegrate the part that has become separated we can regain our confidence and find that decision making is more exciting instead of an ordeal.

The Inner Child: This is an aspect of the subconscious and one of the important influences in our daily lives. The inner child is a sophisticated yet manufactured program created by the conscious mind as it develops through childhood, puberty and adolescence. It’s an imaginary construct moulded by an immature conscious mind and deposited within the subconscious as a powerful set of belief systems and behavioural responses to our childhood experiences. It is influential and has a real impact on our daily lives because it contains powerful emotional components that have not been subject to the filtering mechanisms of a mature conscious mind. It is literally a childlike personality that can take momentary control over a person if specific emotional states are triggered.

A memory cannot be erased only the way we react to in can be changed the memory always exists although we may choose to ignore it. So the inner child is real and lives in its own little world within our imagination, it’s only when a powerful emotion is triggered that it reacts and influences our behaviour. We have all experienced temper tantrums that we regret and are embarrassed about later this is merely our inner child taking momentary control.

The inner child has 3 basic emotional states:

Wounded When we feel that something is so unfair that we go into a kind of despair
Playful When we feel everything is a game and we play
Loving When we feel comforted and totally relaxed

1.   The inner child is able to be loving and playful to varying degrease but generally when it feels wounded it needs to become playful before it can become loving again.

Text Box: These 3 emotional states have their own behavioural attributes. Playful and loving is quite obvious but wounded can sometimes be difficult to spot. The range of emotion and behaviour is quite complex and varied depending on the individual’s experiences and coping strategies

THE CENTRAL CONTROL SYSTEM: (Primitive Brain): This is the part of the brain that controls the automatic and involuntary functions in the body and mind. Most biological functions needed for survival like breathing or your heart beat are controlled and regulated by this part of the brain.

It is primarily responsible for homeostasis: (physiology) metabolic equilibrium actively maintained by several complex biological mechanisms that operate via the autonomic nervous system to offset disrupting changes. This process also exists in the mind in that there are automatic triggers that spontaneously activate when we are in life threatening situations.

For example people interviewed after a disaster like a fire or ships sinking often say, ‘they don’t remember what happened only being rescued’, it’s as if they were on autopilot. When a person is in a depressive state for a long time and progressively gets worse often at the lowest point they can snap out of it with no help whatsoever. It’s as if the mind has a safety valve that protects the person from self destruction and in certain circumstances the person remerges better for the experience.

I do not recommend that people test their mental safety triggers (MST’s) as some people’s MST’s are set too low and they will self destruct before they have a chance to activate.  The good news is that these MST’s can be recalibrated to activate more quickly resulting in a person snapping out of a negative mental state, more quickly and without external assistance.

Instinctive Programming
; is in a sense the software for these automatic systems. Our instinctive programming contains information going back as far as the very first human who walk the earth. It also contains the combined programming from our parents and has a massive influence on our behaviour and emotional tendencies. There is a constant battle going on between our instinctive programming and our conscious understanding of what’s right and wrong. If you’re instinctive programming is overpowering your conscious mind’s ability to use your intellect to make decisions and take action you have big problems and can exhibit extremely antisocial behaviour.

The Higher Self (HI Matrix): The concept of a Higher Intelligence is not new, the idea has been around for thousands of years. Lots of people have an opinion about the Higher Self and what its role is. Some people believe it’s literally god living inside each and every one of us, other believe it’s an angelic influence that guides are lives. Many people believe it’s the ‘Authentic Self’ whatever that’s supposed to mean.  People often ask me what I believe the Higher Self could be here is my personal definition from the point of view of the Higher Self.

‘I am an aspect of your mind beyond your conscious perception of reality. I exist beyond you yet I am you. I am the genius within you waiting for you to ask me the right question. I am the answer to your dreams yet you often deny me because of your conditioning.  We are one yet separated by intellect and your self limiting view of reality. I am what you could be if we were truly joined. I will always exist even when you do not. I am your key to understanding the universe and unravelling its mysteries. I am what you would allow me to be for you if you were to open your mind to the possibility.’

Well I know it sounds a bit cryptic and I suppose you could spend hours trying to work it out as I have or you could simply ask for yourself. The Higher Self is so amazing it always gives you an answer that you can deal with at a particular moment in time. I would like to say that it all makes perfect sense to me but every time I read this apparently simplistic answer it seems to open a door somewhere in my mind, maybe that’s the idea.

Personally I tend to be more accepting of an idea if I get some proof, theories and concepts are all very interesting but I prefer physical evidence.  Hypothetical concepts that can never be proven either way are to me more ‘Faith’ than reality. To me just because you have faith in something it doesn’t automatically mean it is right, it just that it feels right to you! We all need proof on a level we can accept. Some people may need more proof than others but if you receive what you need on the level you can accept, eventually however a concept conflicts with your previous belief system you will bring it into your reality.

So how do you get the proof you need? The answer is simple you just ask for it. The Em-Power System is a way to ask questions and give commands to your Higher Self so that you receive the relevant and most accurate response.

Emotional index (EI) The E.I. is a simplistic way of gauging a person’s emotional state as they move through different emotional levels. Depending on where you start, a person tends to move through the levels in a predictable way. Various philosophies have a good understanding of these levels and use different mind exercises to help people move up this scale in order to feel better

We have found that most people maintain an average emotion state that fluctuates but remains relatively constant (Average Emotional State AES). Provided that nothing traumatic happens a person can maintain this AES for a life time.

A person’s AES can seriously affect their ability to function and each AES has a specific set of behavioural characteristics. When a person experiences a very negative emotion like apathy they appear lifeless and their body language usually reflects this. Our physical body translate our thoughts into behaviours and every thought has an energetic component. Generally negative thoughts make a persons energy system turn in on itself resulting in a weakened immune system. Inevitably this leads to sickness and lower levels of personal energy.

Here is a list of emotional states which a person can go though Go back to Visitors Centre
